On Saturday, the elementary vice principal came and picked up a few of us to take us to the market downtown and to "zone one" which is the old, historical part of town. It was really cool and we had a good time shopping around. I didn't buy much because I want to wait until I am settled into my apartment before I start buying a lot of decorative stuff. But they had beautiful cloth, many handicrafts, and many other things to choose from. Here are just a few pictures I snapped. I didn't take too many as we weren't sure if it was "safe" to have our cameras out at all times! :) This first one is of the fountain that is in the middle of the town square.
I can't remember if this building is the one that is the old President's mansion or not. I am pretty sure it is!
Jean Ah and I.....my old hotel roommate......in the square!
Another old beautiful building!!!
Jean Ah looking thrilled as always!
Another view of the basement level.

KAMMIE BASS! This is Amie Pierce/Williams. I just saw a comment you posted on my friend Emily Armstrong's blog, how random! Emily is a friend from church and high school and I check her blog all the time. How do you know her? How are you doing? I try to keep up with you and all of your travels through our moms. I have an 11 month old son and I stay at home with him. It is so crazy to find your blog like this, what a small world. My email address is amielu28@hotmail.com.
