For Semana Santa, we got a nice long vacation from school. The week before Semana Santa, we were out on Friday, then the entire week of Easter, and also the Monday after Easter. Ten days. I loved it! It was a much needed break! The last Thursday we had school, a bunch of us went out to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was kind of a beginning of vacation/birthday celebration! I am reminded at all of the things I have been blessed with in this life, one of them that is very near and dear to my heart is good friends. It has taken me awhile to really open up much and let many people in since coming here to Guatemala. I had some really hard goodbyes in Korea and I think subconsciously, I wasn't ready to start over and get my heart hurt again like that when I came here. Slowly but surely, I think I am starting to get there. Just a few pics of some good friends here in Guatemala.
This is Shelly, Jaime and I. These two girls have been so much fun to hang out with and they are always up for a good time! Jaime is moving to Brazil next year so I will really miss her!
Melissa and I, the birthday girl. She is so sweet and I am so glad that I got to know her through the master's program that we were working on. She came the year before me, so she just gradutated with our last master's course, where I am only halfway through! I am going to miss her in class next year! I like her a lot, even though she's Canadian! :)
